Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo

Scientific Name: Cacatua galerita

 

At Dysons Wood Aviaries we do not breed the Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo. We own one incredible male Sulphur, who is called Charlie. He is fully hand raised, speaks a range of words, and is very popular amongst our visitors. He lives with Peach, who is our pet Galah/Short-Billed Corella hybrid.

Charlie is a member of the Cacatua genus, alongside the Lesser-Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, the Blue-Eyed Cockatoo, the Umbrella Cockatoo, the Moluccan Cockatoo, the Citron-Crested Cockatoo, the Long-Billed Corella, the Western Corella, the Short-Billed Corella, the Goffin’s Cockatoo, the Solomon’s Cockatoo, and the Red-Vented Cockatoo.
